Learning Objective: Given interactive multiple choice questions about ones, tens, and hundreds place value, the students will be able to identify the place value of a digit with 100% accuracy. Content Standard : MATH. Content Standard.2.0: Understand that the three digits of a three-digit number represent amounts of hundreds, tens, and ones. Accomplishment: Understand the place value of a three-digit number. Understand that the place values are ones, tens, and hundreds. Understand place values up to hundreds.

Our number system is based on 10. Using only 10 symbols. Ones, tens, and hundreds. 247 can be broken down into 200+40+7=247.

Place value is useful when pronouncing numbers. We use the term digit when finding the place value. Example: In 223, the DIGIT 3 is in the ones place. For where ever that digit stands in a number, it will represent a certain place value.
