Lodge Leadership People like you and me who when asked will take charge and motivate people to do more than they think they can achieve.

Lodge Leadership Why do people or plans fail? What we have here is a failure to communicate!

Lodge Leadership You! As Master of your Lodge have the responsibility to lead and motivate the members and officers of your Lodge

Lodge Leadership Remember you are the Master and responsible for leadership and operation of your Lodge

Lodge Leadership How? Be organized Delegate Know what you want and who you want to oversee the project to see that it’s done

Lodge Leadership Know your members Build fraternal relationships Find out all you can about your members and their families to help you develop interesting programs that will keep your members returning to Lodge

Lodge Leadership Allow members to be creative and encourage them Follow up on the progress Implement the plan

Lodge Leadership Realize there is a need for both the traditional and non-traditional member in your Lodge Be open to new ideas with regards to planning activities for the members

Lodge Leadership Just because you did it that way in the past, may not be the way of the future I’m not talking about the ritual-I’m talking about the leadership of the Master and officers

Lodge Leadership Form committees with an active chairman and have them give reports back to the Lodge The members need to know what is going on in their Lodge and offer support

Lodge Leadership When planning your year, you should remember what your role as Master should be To attract, retain, and motivate your members to return to Lodge, participate and promote membership

Lodge Leadership If we are going to attract and keep the new member we must listen to what their concerns are and respond to make Lodge meetings an enjoyable and rewarding experience for all.

Lodge Leadership Form committees with a chairman and have them give reports to the Lodge. The members need to know what is going on in their Lodge

Lodge Leadership You and your officers need to work and develop the new leaders in your Lodge if we are going to be successful in the future!

Lodge Leadership Form study groups to learn ritual, lectures and charges Form a degree team for each degree and lecture Assign a Past Master to each officer as a mentor and coach

Lodge Leadership When planing for the future remember the words of General George S. Patton “ A good plan executed right now is far better than a perfect plan executed next week”.
