Two of a Kind – Focused on God! JONATHAN (1 Samuel 14:6) Jonathan said to his young armor-bearer, "Come, let's go over to the outpost of those uncircumcised fellows. Perhaps the LORD will act in our behalf. Nothing can hinder the LORD from saving, whether by many or by few." DAVID (1 Samuel 17:45) David said to the Philistine, "You come against me with sword and spear and javelin, but I come against you in the name of the LORD Almighty, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied.

The evil of envy (Romans 1:29) They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice. (Galatians 5:20-21) …idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions {21} and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. (James 3:16) For where you have envy and selfish ambition, there you find disorder and every evil practice. The opposite of envy is love (1 Corinthians 13:4) Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.

Addressing our Jealousy GOD – Humbly submit to God’s authority. He controls all things – so others may have it better. He deserves all praise – so I don’t. ME – Admit, confess and repent of jealousy. It’s sin. Then accept God’s grace. ME – Deal with my own insecurity. Always review that my significance is God's love for me Thankfully review that all I have is by God’s grace OTHERS – See people like God does Praise God for the successes of others. Affirm/encourage those with the success you long for.
