This is commando evangelism in that you attack and invade Enemy territory. Instead of waiting people to come, we go to the people with the message of Jesus Christ as the ONLY Savior.

WHAT AM I TO BRING? Bible – preferably the Good News with the Imprimatur of the Cardinal Tracts

4 Things God Wants You to Know

Handbills – this announces the ministry of Light of the World “Decision for Christ” packet/card WHAT AM I TO BRING?

II. HOW IS DOOR-TO-DOOR EVANGELISM DONE? A. You will be assigned two-by-two on a street or area

B. Each partner is to be supportive in prayer Whoever “talks” needs to prepare the materials in order not to waste time C.Knock or ring doorbell as the case may be.

Introduce yourself “Kami po ay taga Light of the World Christian Center dito sa Lagro at mayroon po kami nais ibigay sa inyo. Pwede po bang tumuloy?”

When refused entrance, just talk through the door about the invitation and leave both track and invitation. Sometimes the person is willing to talk but won’t let you in. Don’t insist but take advantage of the situation.

When allowed to come in, be alert with cues. There are indications of “religiosity” and church affiliation. You may see – Altars posters, Reading materials.

Once you are seated, under the Holy Spirit’s guidance, take full authority over the situation. Always emphasize the fact that you are there to share. Starting the conversation that leads to the presentation of the gospel cannot be confined to a formula. However, because you don not have all the time, do not stay too long on topics like the weather or something else.

“Nais ko pong ibigay sa inyo una sa lahat ang babasahing ito. Nakikita po ninyo na ang nilalaman nito ay … Move back and forth from “tayo” to “kayo” Avoid the use of “ikaw” unless the person is extremely young

Be ready with your bible all the time and open to the appropriate passage and let the person read the verse with his/her eyes while you read the verse aloud

Questions may be raised to you in the process. What religion or sect are you from? This could easily deviate from the main task of evangelism unless you handle this carefully Possible response: We are from Light of the World Christian Center here in Lagro. It is a charismatic group open to all. As we have been discussing, it is important that we understand God’s wonderful plan for all. Then proceed with the “Four Things…

Do not argue as much as possible Avoid coming with an air of superiority Come with ‘agape”

When time allows, bring to a point of decision and lead in a short prayer. The prayer admits and confesses his/her being a sinner Recognizes Jesus as the Only Savior Personally accepts Jesus and asks for His forgiveness and cleansing and commitment to follow and serve Him

Ask permission to take down particulars on the decision slip Explain that this is for the purpose of sending him/her more Christian literature Leave a handbill and invite the person to the meeting

Before finally leaving, ask if you may pray a prayer of blessing upon the whole family See if the person has a special prayer request or need It need not be long, but specifically mention names and needs. Pronounce God’s blessing upon the person and the household.
