What is “Investment Procedure”? It is the process of covering or enveloping, wholly or in part, an object such as denture, tooth, wax form, crown etc. with a suitable investment material before processing, soldering or casting

Main Parts RING MOULD Supports the mould Facilitates the flow of metal CROWN Write here what is crown? Made from wax SPRUE Hole through which melt is poured into the gate and then mould

The Molding Process Investment Material Mixed with water Debubblizer added if necessary

Burnout of the Wax 1)Timer is set to tell when investment is near the hottest stage. 2)The ring is then removed from it 3)Ring is placed in oven to burn out wax completely. 4)Ring is heated till the required temperature which is corresponding to the metal being cast.

Casting the Crown Ring is properly heated Ingot(s) are placed in crucible Put torch to the metal When metal pools, ring is placed in cradle
