MORE THAN YOU IMAGINE sydneytafe.nsw.edu.au Higher Education Competition A total of 203 non-university providers as at 4 April 2013 Business, Management, Commerce and Fine Art, Media and Design appear to be the most competitive. The largest proportion of degree offerings fall within those categories. Cheaper price points for Business, Management and Commerce degrees throughout the city seem to reflect the high level of competition. Variability in pricing for Fine Art, Media and Design degrees may be an indication of competition with more prestigious providers. Fields of Health and Fitness, Performance, Social Science may lend themselves well to new TAFE Higher Education degree courses.

MORE THAN YOU IMAGINE sydneytafe.nsw.edu.au Higher Education Competition 27% of Associate Degree offerings relate to Business, Management and Commerce, with Business the most popular. 43% of Associate Degree offerings relate to Fine Art, Media and Design, with Applied Design the most popular. 44% of Bachelor Degree offerings relate to Business, Management and Commerce, with Bachelor of Business the most popular. 24% of Bachelor Degree offerings relate to Fine Art, Media and Design, with a wide range of offerings, the most popular being the Bachelor of Design degrees.

MORE THAN YOU IMAGINE sydneytafe.nsw.edu.au Higher Education Competition The high number of degree offerings in Business, Management and Commerce reflects high student demand and may also indicate low barriers to entry. These courses generally have fewer equipment requirements, and delivery costs consist primarily of classroom provision and teacher hours. Fine Arts, Media and Design degrees have a varying price range. Bachelor of Design at the Whitehouse Institute = $70-80,000 Bachelor of Creative Arts degrees at JMC Academy = $40-50,000.
