Comenius, Poland „The young journalists”

People in Poland have many rights. The most important of them are: - personal rights - social rights - political rights - economic rights - cultural rights. 1.What rights have all adults in Poland?

All people in Poland have personal rights. They are very important. They are about what people can do or have in a country. One of the personal rights is: - the right to live - the right for own religion. 2. What are the personal rights? What are they about?

In many countries in the world there exists tolerance. It is very important. Tolerance is an ability to respect the views of others, their way of life, race, religion, culture. When someone is tolerant that means other people don’t bother him regardless of who he is. 3. Tolerance- what is it?

Of course. Political rights give us many possibilities to take part in our country’s life. Thanks to them we can take part in elections and we can choose people who we think are the best candidates to govern in the country. 4. Political rights- are they good?

The word “cultural” must be related to the word “culture”. Cultural rights give us a possibility to learn at school, to read in a library, to play on the playing field and many others. They help us to be a good person in the future. 5. Cultural rights - what do they give us?

Everybody can be the citizen. The citizen is someone who lives in the country, was born in it or someone who stays in the country because he must. But when someone from other country tries to be the citizen of Poland he must fulfill a number of requirements. 6. Citizen- who can be the one?

Each child is a citizen of the country where he lives. It is important because being a citizen gives a possibility to study, to live in the country, to have all rights. 8. Can children be citizens?

Kids, like adults, have their own rights. It is very important because they are ordinary people, not things that have no emotions. Children have the same rights like adults but they refer to different categories that are connected with childhood. 7. Do kids have their own rights?

Yes, they have. Protection of health is the country’s duty. But there is a condition – all people must pay insurance. Health is the most important thing for each person. Everyone wants to be treated when they are ill. The right to health protection is one of the social rights. 9. Do people have the right to health protection?

Each person has the right to express their own opinion. In the country we can do what we want (only things that are lawful), we can tell everything what we think. Thanks to this, everyone can do everything that is accordance with their conscience. 10. Do people have the right to their own opinion?
