Can you get a prosthetic limb wet? You are supposed to keep it as dry as possible, but there are covers to keep them from getting wet. Also there are certain prosthetics that will rust and are not meant to be wet.

How much do prosthetic limbs cost? You have to change you your prosthetic limb every 3-4 years. Most prosthetic limbs cost $6,000- $100,000. It also depends on what sort of prosthetic limb you have.

Who made prosthetic limbs? What are they made of? How long ago were they made? Prosthetic limbs were made in the fifth Egyptian dynasty. It can also be called 500 B.C. A French surgeon named Ambroise Pare invented the first prosthetic.

How are they attached? Their held either by suction or some mechanical attachments with belt or straps.
