English system - what we use
Ex: gallon, inches, pound, etc.
Metric system - scientists, Europe, other parts of world
Ex: kilometer, liter, gram

Kilometer (km) = 1000 meters
Centimeter (cm) = 0.01 meters
Millimeter (mm) = meters
