Need the Contractor Company Approval to use
Recognition of participating companies is given by listing participants in the annual report. But to encourage participation in the program and to keep company information confidential, the statistics for various participants are not linked to the individual participant.
The program allows for Rig Recognition for rig crews that operate 365 days without a Lost Time Incident. This past year the program was expanded to also recognize rigs that operate 365 days without a Recordable Incident.
For rigs to be recognized, the company must be a current participant in the ASP Program and submitted statistics during the previous 12 months.
To receive Certificates and Plaques, a Certificate/Plaque requisition form must be submitted. An executive with the company must sign the form verifying that the rig has met the criteria to receive the Certificate or Plaque.

IADC documents are not standards like API issued RPs and SPECs.
The guidelines were written to apply to the typical rig up gin pole truck, not to small welder/mechanic gin pole trucks. Even though welders and mechanics may want to review the document to assist in the safety of their operations.
Why??? The members of the Rig Moving Committee thought that there needs to be some type of guidance in building, rating and operating gin pole trucks. In addition some customers were concerned about using hoisting devices on their locations that have no documentation as to their capacity or recent inspections. Some area OSHA personnel were attempting to classify Gin pole trucks as cranes.
