3 Positive impact on performance of Agility  Allow you to wrong foot and avoid a challenge  Help you move around a court to react to a shot played at you  Change direction in a split second  Allow you to track an opponent and mark them tightly

4 Negative impacts of agility on performance  You will not be able to change direction quickly  You will not be able to track your opponent  You will become a target as you are seen as a weak player

5 Aim: Complete a weaving running course in the shortest possible time. Equipment: You will require A measuring tape and a number of cones set out as shown in the diagram. Illinios Agility Test

6 You can improve your agility by improving the component parts of agility Balance Speed Strength Co-ordination

7 Power is the combination of strength and speed.

8 Aim: To measure the power in your legs Equipment: You will need a measuring tape and the standing long jump mat.

9 PLYOMETRIC TRAINING  Explosive power is best improved by increasing strength in the main muscles used for different activities and by completing exercises requiring speed.  Plyometric is a form of exercise which links strength with speed of movement.
