Superhero Research Project Venom Origins

Description Venom is an alien Symbiote, with out a host it resembles black ooze. But with a host it takes on the form of a black suited Spider-man, with a gaping mouth of sharp teeth, and more muscle mass

Powers Because the Symbiote bonded with Spider-Man first, its taken on most of his powers, with a few additional powers. Super-strength Wall Crawling Web shooters Shape-shifting Optic-camouflage Telepathy And recently can clone itself.

Weaknesses Venom doesn’t have a lot of weaknesses, but there are a few. Sound, Sonic vibration Fire, heat Can’t survive with out a host

Associations Venom usually works alone, but the Symbiote needs someone or it will die. Spider-Man/ Peter Parker Eddie Brock Mac Gargan/ Scorpion Ann Weying/ Eddie Brock’s ex-Wife Patricia Robertson

Associations III The resent Venom, Mac Gargan formally known as Scorpion, joined up with Norman Osborn’s Dark Avengers, mostly comprised of super villains pretending to be superheroes, Venom has taken on the role of the black suited Spider-Man. Mac Gargan lost the Symbiote when the Dark Avengers tried to take Agar, they failed and the Venom Symbiote is in the possession of S.H.E.I.L.D

Changes over time Venom started out as a hulking black copy of Spider-man, with a gaping mouth, only with human teeth not the fangs they would become. Venom then became lighter, no longer black but a blueish black, then came the fangs and the tongue.

Creator and Artist The man who first came up with the idea for Venom was Todd MacFarlane, creator of Spawn and Evil Prophecy The man who drew him was Mike Zeck, who has drawn many of the marvel superheroes

Special Issues The Symbiote first appeared in “The Amazing Spider- Man” issue 298 “Venom Tooth and Claw” is the first issue that Wolverine meets Venom
