7 Kandinsky Quick Review: –Russian Artist –Musician and Philosopher. –Non-representational Artist –Tried to link his paintings to music. –His paintings had musical titles. –Paintings are very lyrical

8 Henri Matisse Quick Review –French Artist –Reble with Color –Started the Fauvist Movement. –Best work was the Chaple of Chapelle du Rosaire de Venice. –Late works were paper cutouts.

9 Joan Miro He started drawing at a young age. Was considered a poetic realist during one time in his career. In the 1920’s he became a Surrealist. Work became more abstract as he got older. Created abstract monuments sculptures. Blue II was one of his most famous works.
