You need three parts to make the perfect Tense. THE SUBJECT : the person THE PAST PARTICIPLE: the action you have done THE AUXILIARY : avoir or être

Take the infinitive of the verb you want to use and remove the ‘er’, ‘ir’, ‘re’ jouer finir vendre é i u And add in the following endings

Some common verbs do not follow the pattern we have just seen and you just need to learn the past participle. avoir – eudevoir - dû boire – buécrire - écrit faire – faitvoir - vu être - été lire - lu prendre - pris
