Call to Commitment Called to Christ, His Church, and Discipleship Gospel-Centered Worship – Corporate Believers are told to “sing to the Lord” Non-believers are expected to be present in worship Non-believers must find worship comprehensible The Gospel is clearly seen in all elements Kingdom-Centered Prayer Personal Private Worship Daily Devotion

2. Call to Community Real practical and spiritual support for the trials of life. One-another ministry. God has made relationship essential to our spiritual growth. Current situation: We are a regional church, meaning our church is in Elmhurst, but many of us live outside and commute to Elmhurst on Sunday. Expanding each aspect of God’s Family: singles, married couples, and families Building a welcoming and vibrant community Friendship Evangelism – using our living space (homes, apartments) and community public places to reach out to neighbors, friends, and family for gathering to look at the Gospel in the Bible. Show others what a Christian community is about

3. Call to Maturity Helping all members grow as disciples of Jesus Christ in every season of life. Current Situation: Complacency amongst Christians. A lack of desire to learn from God about the Christian life. Core Leadership Church leaders & leaders at home Gospel-Transformed Leader Servant-Leader Leadership training - Discipleship, Sunday Afternoon Equipping seminars. Nurture Applicable Bible Study - nurturing spiritually and relationally. Small groups Adult Sunday School, seminars and conferences.

Call to Maturity – Action Plan Adult Sunday School More Sermon application Marriage Seminars in the Spring March – June ( 6 meetings) Parents’ Seminars in the Fall September – November ( 6 meetings) Men’s Fellowship Meets every other months Equip men as servant-leaders at home and in church

4. Call to Mission To see every member equipped and effectively participating in ministry to the full extent of their opportunities and spiritual gifts. April 24 – Easter Sunday Worship Service May 28 – Memorial Day Picnic June 25 – First children-oriented outing July & August – recommend to suspend all small group regular bible study meetings (up to small groups), but encourage them to have more activities and outings July 22-24 – Summer Conference July 7-July 9 – VBS in the Park??? July 10, 17, 24, 31 – VBS at IS #5??? August- Second children-oriented outing September 3 – Labor Day Mini-Church BBQ at Alley Pond Park September – November - Parent Seminar by Pastor Wilson and Elder Wilson November 20- Thanksgiving Sunday December 23/24- Christmas Caroling by small groups December 18/25 - Christmas Sunday & Visiting Nursing Home (with children) First Sundays – Church’s Prayer Meeting Second Sundays - Nursing Home Visitation Third Sundays – Joy Middle-Age Fellowship + Kids’ Club
