Cablesand Connectors It is important and necessary that ALL cables are coiled before being turned in.

XLR Cable: Microphone and Audio Boards

BNC Cable: Powers Studio cameras

USB (Universal Serial Bus) Cable: Moves Data from one device to another (Camera to Computer)

Firewire Cable: Moving audio and video specifically from a camera to computer. This has better quality than the USB

VGA (Video Graphics Array): Used for displays and monitors: TV or Computer.

Power Cable: Provides Power to the machine. Depending on the machine will determine the cable.

1/8” Audio Cable: Fits into headphone jacks. Used to capture music from computers.

¼” Audio Cable: Connects to amps and audio boards.

Composite Cables: Connects DVD and gaming systems to TV. Yellow is Video Red is Audio White is the Universal Audio

Networking Cable: Provides internet.

Safety Do NOT wrap body parts into any cable. Do NOT use cables that are cut, frayed, or broken. Turn OFF devices before unplugging them. Unplug devices using the plug, not the cord. Do NOT bend cord at anytime. If at any point you see sparks, find a staff member and DO NOT TOUCH!
