Software evaluation Photoshop and Paint.
2
Paint Paint is used to create and edit photos/images. Paint is simple to use with tools such as; a brush, a pencil, a fill tool, shapes, an eraser and mush more. As a result of paint being simple there is a limit to what can be accomplished and how much time and effort that the task will require.

Photoshop Photoshop is a widely used photo manipulation software. It is reasonable easy to uses and has a wide range of tools that can be used for various things such as the magic wand which can be used to select certain areas to delete, copy or even edit the position or size of that area. Because of the extent of the tools available on Photoshop you can do a almost anything on Photoshop with a good quality of finish. You can also add layer after layer onto your image to change simple things like someone holding an object you may change the object without it looking fake. You can make animations.

Photoshop and Paint Photoshop and Paint have a wide difference between them in the sense of complexity and the things they can make possible. On the right is an example of one of the many tool bars on photo shop to use. On the left is the tools bar on paint. There is a wide difference in the complexity and tools available between the tool bars. In the programs themselves there is a massive difference, as paint looks straight forward and simple to use Photoshop is complex and has much more available.

For example For example with Photoshop you could use this tool to select the eyes and mouth Then use this tool to fill the selected area with the desired colour. Photoshop has more tools which help, for example the selection tool then the fill tool, by using the selection tool it only fills the selected area. With Paint you would have to just use the fill tool but some images are more pixelated which will mean you fill certain parts which would take you a long time to do one are. Or you could select the eye and, right click then free transform to resize the selected area. You can change the colour by using the fill tool on what you want to change but if its all one colour in the are for example black circle then it should change the whole circle unless it’s a very pixelated image then it will change in bits.

Justifying evaluation Personally I would choose to use Photoshop myself, where as it may be more complicated than Paint it has much more to offer in the sense that you may manipulate a photo in various way such as changing the colour of a certain area, change the transparency or even delete it. You can also add layers to make certain areas overlap other areas on Paint you cannot, you can also change the transparency of an overlapping layer so you may see the one below but not as dominant. Also pictures/images edited or created on Photoshop have a better finishing quality in my opinion. There is so much more to do on Photoshop that you cannot on Paint and that is why I would choose Photoshop.
