Uncle Tom’s Cabin Subtitle changed from “The Man that was a Thing” to “Life Among the Lowly” Published in March 20, 1852 5,000 copies were initially made but 300,000 copies were sold in the U.S. Alone 2 nd most bought book in the century (second to the Bible) Abraham Lincoln invited Harriet to the White House were he said “"So this is the little lady who started this great war."
