3. Simon & Garfunkel  In 1957, befriended Art Garfunkel.  Began singing together at local sock hops  Discovered by scout for Big Records and offered a recording contract  Recorded first single, “Hey Schoolgirl”

4. Wednesday Morning 3AM  First Simon and Garfunkel Album  Met with minimal success until American Producer, Tom Wilson, added electronic instrumentation to “Sound of Silence”  Became No. 1 Hit

5. 1965 - 1970  Simon and Garfunkel became one of the most successful duos in the history of popular music.  Split due to differing career goals in 1970.

6. Acting and Composition Work  Brief cameo in Woody Allen’s “Annie Hall”  Starred and directed “One Trick Pony”  Composition work for Broadway musical “The Capeman”
