2. TEXT: Ephesians 5:19-20 The Ministry of the Holy Spirit in our lives imparts two important perspectives to our outlook on life. They are:

3. I. The Life of Faith A. For Salvation 1. In calling us to salvation (Rom 8:28) 2. In assuring us of salvation (Rom 8:16) B. For Family Relationships 1. Within God’s family (Gal 4:6) 2. Within our own family (Eph 5:18, 22-23)

4. C. For Provision 1. Of power to live right (Gal 5:16) 2. Of conviction when living wrong (Heb 12:11; 1 John 4:13; Eph 4:29- 30)

5. II. The Offering of Praise and Thanksgiving A. Praise and Thanksgiving are often expressed in song (Eph 5:19) B. It should come from the heart, not merely an emotion C. It is often a “corporate” response of praise and thanksgiving (Col 3:16) D. Thus, it is something that all age groups can be involved in (Psalm 148:12)
