ELECTRONIC MUSIC
2
What is Electronic Music ?
Electronic music is music that employs electronic musical instruments and electronic music technology in its production. In general a distinction can be made between sound produced using electromechanical means and that produced using electronic technology.
3
Electronic music was once associated almost exclusively with Western art music but from the late 1960s on the availability of affordable music technology meant that music produced using electronic means became increasingly common in the popular domain.
4
Today electronic music includes many varieties and ranges from experimental art music to popular forms such as electronic dance music.
5
History Electronic Music was Invented: in the early 1990's was when breakthrough artists became most popular.
6
Origins Late 19th century to early 20th century
7
The ability to record sounds is often connected to the production of electronic music, but not absolutely necessary for it. The earliest known sound recording device was the phonautograph, patented in 1857 by Édouard-Léon Scott de Martinville. It could record sounds visually, but was not meant to play them back.

9
Before electronic music, there was a growing desire for composers to use emerging technologies for musical purposes. Several instruments were created that employed electromechanical designs and they paved the way for the later emergence of electronic instruments.

Benefits Of Electronic Music In The Society
Remixing From early 1990s to date, electronic sounds have been undergoing modification. This has been possible due to recent computer and sound synthesizer technologies. Audio workstations, drum machines, sequencers and other electronic musical instruments have continually contributed in the changing styles used in recording compositions. This has made it possible for potential song producers and individuals to generate sounds and beats of their interest.
18
Instrumentation There has been increasing change of styles in producing mainstream records. This is because song composers and producers have developed the act of creating alternative versions of compositions that they have already written or produced. Hip hop fusion has resulted from use of electronically influenced sounds and has gained popularity among fans. Nowadays, reggae artists have become fond of electronic sounds that are used to make remixes.
