3 LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION!  Almost nowhere in Europe is far from the sea.  Southern and Western Europe consists almost entirely of peninsulas and islands: Greece, Italy and the Iberian Peninsula (Spain and Portugal).  Southern Europe faces the Mediterranean.  Western Europe is surrounded by the North Sea and the Atlantic Ocean.  Rivers run all through Europe, connected it to the seas and oceans and making travel and trade possible http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Europe

4 WHAT TO WEAR  Due to its northerly position o the globe, Europe appears to be harsh and cold.  Winters in Madrid and Paris are less severe than those in New York and Boston.  Prevailing westerly winds and the North Atlantic Drift ocean currents contribute to Europe’s mild climate.  Visit the Eiffel Tower any time of the year. 5 WHAT TO WEAR  The Mediterranean is the other dominant climate.  This includes Southern France, Italy and Greece.  Hot rainless summers and mild rainy winters makes Southern Europe a travelers destination.
