Fact of Registration This is not the first year that birth certificates have been required for registration. All associations have copies of the birth certificates for the players registered in previous years and only need to collect copies for the new players. Most sports require birth certificates when registering individuals. Remember that Adult rules differ from Youth and Girls/Women.
13
The Future USA Hockey already working on locking down the birth date and citizenship in Cyber Sport so that the information could be verified once and then remain in the data base. Lockdown of DOB will happen next season Verification and transmission of DOB will happen for the 2012-2013 season at the earliest.
14
Changes Nothing will change for this season. We will continue to use birth certificates or passports to verify citizenship and date of birth for all classifications of Youth and Girls’/Women.
