7 VOLUNTEER PROGRAMME recognises the contribution of existing volunteers within the Rugby Community utilises the existing RFU infrastructure including its CBs and clubs has a fair selection process for all based on the shared values of England Rugby 2015 and the RFU supports legacy aspirations – increasing and sustaining the profile of and participation in rugby

11 CHOOSING YOUR NOMINATIONS No hard and fast rules BUT key points to consider: –Fairness and transparency critical –Think legacy and what your clubs need for the future? –Make the process manageable

17 CODES Each club has a unique code for the one or two nominated volunteers The Sub from each club will also have a unique code Treat codes as confidential information Code leakage – Twitter, Facebook CBs responsible for verifying applications from club codes

22 A unique experience, creating buzz and excitement for each selected attendee. An applicant’s first live interaction with the Tournament, offering a friendly and engaging environment, providing the applicants a platform to showcase themselves.

29 VOLUNTEER INTERVIEW PROGRAMME

30 OVERVIEW AND RECRUITMENT Recruit and train interviewers to attend Try Outs and help secure a fantastic Tournament volunteer team A chance to get involved and help shape RWC 2015 Experience of interviewing or a willingness to learn is crucial and knowledge of the Game is important Recruiting through three main channels –Clubs, CBs and Societies –Universities and Colleges –Local Councils and CSPs

31 THE PROCESS Applications open on February 12, 2014 Form available online for one month Telephone interviews to reduce travel time Training held close to, or at, Try Out venues Deployment to Try Outs for agreed shifts

32 CONSIDERATIONS All members of the VIP need to be aged 18 or over Must be willing to take part in –a short telephone interview –a local training event –the designated number of shifts for that venue Experience in, or of, sport Experience of working with people in a customer-facing role Is an ambassador of the Core Values and sets an example to the Game
