Infrasound, A certain type of frequency, is a frequency that cannot be detected by the human ear. The pitch of the wave is too low, just below 20 Hertz. Anything below 20 Hertz cannot be heard by humans. However, animals such as whales, giraffes, and even rhinos can hear infrasound. Using it to communicate everyday, animals are very familiar with this.

Ultrasound, in which is sort of the opposite of infrasound, is a wave frequency in which the sound is too high pitched for human hearing. According to sources, sources say that women are capable of hearing slightly higher frequencies. Animals such as bats, cats, and dogs use ultrasound to communicate and survive.

UltrasoundInfrasound High Pitch Used by bats, humans, and dolphins. Cannot be heard by humans. Low pitch Used by whales, elephants, and giraffes. Cannot be heard by humans.

Diffraction Diffraction: Waves go around or through something. Reflection Reflection: Waves bounce back off of something. Refraction Refraction: Speed of waves vary depending on the type of medium it’s being passed through.
