Company Logo What is an Actuary Actuaries analyze the financial costs of risk and uncertainty. They use mathematics, statistics, and financial theory to assess the risk that an event will occur and to help businesses and clients develop policies that minimize the cost of that risk.

Company Logo Resume Workshop Inviting Career Center adviser to speak about: – Analytic job and internship opportunities (for those who haven’t passed any actuary exams) – Ways to develop resume for actuary positions – Proper way to highlight skills and past jobs on resume for actuary recruiters Quick Tip: If you will be leaving a position and your employer wants to fill the position with someone highly motivated and trustworthy like yourself, refer them to your friends at the Actuarial Society of UCI! By doing so, you are also helping yourself get a better recommendation by saving recruiters time and money.
