3.  The 4 th commandment states a lot more than just being nice to your mom and dad.  You should show respect to your parents because they gave birth to you and they love you very much.  Jesus Christ always showed respect to his parents because he loved them and he loves you too.

4.  One way to show respect to your parents is listening to them.  Even though you think this is not a sin you can not try to provoke your parents to get you something or do something for you.  When you hesitate when your parents tell you to do something it is also a sin.

5.  Honor means showing respect or high regard.  You should always show your parents honor.  They love you and they gave birth to you.  You should try to imitate your parents ways in loving all your siblings and family.

6.  Respect means showing honor or esteem.  You should show respect to your elders but especially your parents.  You should show respect to your parents because they feed you and clothe you and you should always be thankful.

7.  Love means showing great affection of feeling for something.  You can show your parents you love them by helping them.  You can show them your love by honoring the and respecting them.

8.  The 4 th commandment also states that you should respect your elders and your teachers.  You should show respect and honor to these people too.

9.  As part of your family each family member is required to do their part.  Whether it’s doing chores or helping Dad or Mom you should always show respect and honor to your family.

10.  Instead of nagging your parents to get you something you should be thankful for all that you have.  Make sure you thank your parents for everything they do for you.  You may not know it but your parents do lots of things for you everyday, maybe mom does the dishes, or dad fixes your bikes, you should always thank them.

11.  You should not talk back to your parents, they help you out and give you all their love.  When you talk back to your parents it is basically telling them that you don’t care.
