THREATS TO THE TUNDRA Global warming is harming this beautiful area. Ozone depletion is causing ultraviolet rays to be too strong. This area does not want a tan! Please help by being environmentally responsible and reducing your carbon footprint. Air pollution also contaminates the significant food source lichen. Many people have not gotten to stay in this amazing area because it is so hard to find a place to stay. Building on permafrost is very difficult. It causes a lot of damage to the ecosystems. The construction pipelines and roads can interrupt the whole ecosystem. Also finding and getting oil, gas, and minerals out of the ground is very harmful.
10
Come on, get outside! I want to show you my super cool home!
