2  A disease that is caused by the bacterium Mycobacteriumleprae  Causes skin sores, nerve damage, and muscle weakness  The two forms of leprosy are tuberculoid and lepromatous

3  Skin lesions that are lighter than your normal skin  Lesions that have decreased your sensation to touch, heat or pain  Muscle pain  Numbness in arms, feet, legs and hands

4  Antibiotics, like dapsone and minocycline, are used to kill the bacteria  Aspirin and thalidomide are also used to control inflammation

5  The best way to prevent leprosy is to avoid living really closely to people that have leprosy.
