Agenda 17 The Team Our Goal Technical Organization Timeline Recruiting and Expectations

Timelines 18 Fall 2014: Acquire a motor Research subsystems Determine battery geometry Design dyno Obtain sponsors Spring 2015: Build homemade dyno Set up working engine test stand Design work across all subsystems Fall 2015: Bike construction Find a professional driver to develop the driving feel with Tune motor controls and chassis Iterative design, troubleshooting Spring 2016: Compete in the New Jersey eMotoRacing series

Agenda 19 The Team Our Goal Technical Organization Timeline Recruiting and Expectations

Recruiting 20 Looking for people with experience…...using high-power electronics....in applying advanced mechanical engineering skills (heat transfer analysis, FEA, CFD, etc…) …with batteries. …in an automotive setting. …with any relevant engineering skills. Most importantly, enthusiasm!

Recruiting 21 Participate in an exciting, hands-on project Gain skills experience beyond the classroom Learn how to use industry-standard software Contribute to advancing sustainable transportation technology Get class credit (ECE 4998)

Expectations 22 Can take for up to 3 credits 4 hours per credit – 3 credit member is expected to put in at least 12 hours a week Grading based off of attendance, quality of work, and report submission

Conclusion 23 Very exciting time for us! Lots of design work and construction ahead. Anyone who is interested in joining us should fill out an application.

Thank you for your time! 24 Questions?
