Description: This session will focus on the tools needed for success for the Exercise Science major and Allied Health Professionals with special emphasis placed on professional practices. A brief exploration of the procedures involved with the client/patient initial evaluation, exercise programming, follow-up and progression, and discharge will also be discussed.

Disciplines: the function of a discipline is to develop a coherent body of knowledge that describes, explains, and predicts key phenomena from the domain of interest (subject matter) Professions: the application of knowledge acquired from disciplines. Disciplines seek to understand subject matter and professions seek to implement or apply this knowledge.
