According to your family stories, how is your Seder different today from when your parents or grandparents used to celebrate it?

6. We were slaves to Pharaoh in Egypt “In every generation a person is supposed to consider oneself as if they had left Egypt.” Every person has had their own troubles. (In Hebrew, troubles - צרות, is similar to the word for Egypt - מצרים.) Discuss with your student how they may have overcome, freed themselves, from their own Egypt, or troubles.

7. The Torah speaks of four children: One is wise, one is wicked, one is simple and one does not know how to ask. We all have different parts of our personality, sometimes we're smart, sometimes a little wicked, sometimes naive and sometimes we just do not know. Tell briefly about the case in which you acted like one or more of the children mentioned in the Haggadah. What would you like to maintain or change from this behavior?

Tell us about a “plague” that you (or a family member) experienced. How did you/they overcome? What did you/they learn from it?

9. Whoever does not discuss the following three things on Passover has not fulfilled his duty, namely: Passover (the Passover-sacrifice), Matzah (the unleavened bread), and Maror (the bitter herbs). We all have family customs. What are the three words that you are “obligated” to uphold in your family on Passover? (For example Gefilte Fish, new clothes, celebration, Afikomen presents) How do these words represent your holiday experience with your family?
