Why Study the Numbers in NUMBERS? (1). Be Amazed with their Authorship. Cf. …All Scripture is given by inspiration of God.II Tim. 3:16 Cf. And He said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning Me. Lk. 24:44

(1). Be Amazed with their Authorship. (2). Be Awed with their Accuracy. Cf. Are not five sparrows sold for two farthings, and not one of them is forgotten before God? But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not therefore: ye are of more value than many sparrows. Lk. 12:6, 7 Cf. For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. Mt. 5:18

(1). Be Amazed with their Authorship. (2). Be Awed with their Accuracy. (3). Be Astonished with their Alignment. Cf. Let them make Me a sanctuary…according to all that I shew thee, after the pattern of the tabernacle, and the pattern of all the instruments thereof, even so shall ye make it. Exo. 25:8 (4). Be Astounded with their Arithmetic. Cf. Seventy weeks are determined…understand… seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: …and after…shall Messiah be cut off…unto the end of the war desolations are determined. Dan. 9:24, 25-27

Hail to the great First-born Whose ransom price they pay! The Son before all worlds, The Child of man today, That He might ransom us Who still in bondage lay. ---John Ellerton

Fathers, Have you paid your ransom money of half a shekel for your Firstborn to the Church? This Father’s Day is a good time to do so! A shekel is a unit of weight, roughly equal to 10.5 grams. In 2010 a gram of silver was worth just under 50 cents. This would make a shekel worth about five dollars. Wiki.answers.com
