3 An introduction to Shakespeare Learning Objectives To learn at least 2 facts about William Shakespeare. To be aware of the society that he lived in.

4 The big QUESTION! Who do YOU think William Shakespeare is?

5 Challenge 1 Your first challenge is for you and the person next to you to write down as many things about William Shakespeare as you possibly can. YOU HAVE 3 MINUTES TO COMPLETE THIS CHALLENGE!

6 You will now give your teacher 3 of your answers. They will write this on the board. If you have the answers other pupils have, WELL DONE. If you don’t then write them down.

7 Task 1 You will all be given a worksheet on Shakespeare FACTS. YouFACTS and your teacher will spend 10 minutes reading this sheet aloud in turns. Once you have read this as a class you will have 5 minutes to read this to yourself.

8 Task 2 You will now be given a QUIZ to do. You have 15 minutes to complete this sheet in your book. You must write it in full sentences. QUIZ

9 Plenary You will be given a scrap piece of paper to write down what you have learnt this lesson. You will then give this to your teacher at the end with your NAME on.

10 Your REWARD! Since you have had a great lesson you will be given your first set of homework to be complete for next week.homework
