3 Main points of american cooking As we know, USA is multilingual country, so "american kitchen" is referring to popular meals, which come from all over the world. On the other hand, lot of worlds popular meals is well known as "american meal". Back

4 Fast Food It is a kind of food, which is quickly prepared and served for people in hurry, mainly cheap kind of food. It has always a lot of fat and sugar and without any witamins or microelements. For example: burgers hot dogs sandwiches pizza chips Back

5 Apple pie Is a fruit pie (or tart) in which the principal filling ingredient is apples. It is sometimes served with whipped cream or ice cream on top. Pastry is generally used top-and-bottom, making it a double-crust pie, the upper crust of which may be a disk shaped crust or a pastry lattice woven of strips; exceptions are deep- dish apple pie with a top crust only, and open-face TarteTain. 6 Buffalo wings Is a chicken wing section (drumette or flat) that is traditionally fried unbreaded and then coated in sauce. Classic Buffalo-style chicken wing sauce is composed of a vinegar- based cayenne pepper hot souce and butter. Buffalo wings are traditionally served with celery sticks and blue cheese dressing. Back

7 Banana bread Is a type of quick bread that contains mashed ripe bananas. Banana bread is often a moist, sweet, cake- like bread which typically uses baking soda as the leavening agent instead of yeast; however, there are some banana bread recipes that are traditional-style yeast breads. Banana breads can also be made from frozen bananas Back

8 Corn dog It is a kind of sausage covered in corn cake and then fride in boiling oil. Corn dog is served on wood stick. Back

9 Moon pie Is a pastry which consists of two round graham cracker cookies, with marshmallow filling in the center, dipped in chocolate or other flavors. The traditional pie is about 3 inches (76 mm) in diameter. A smaller version exists (mini MoonPie) that is about half the size, and a Double- Decker MoonPie of the traditional diameter features a third cookie and attendant layer of marshmallow. Back

10 Sloppy joe Is an American dish of ground beef, onions, sweetened tomato sauce or ketchup and other seasonings, served on a hamburger bun. Commercially made sauces are also available. Textured vegetable protein may be used as a vegetarian substitute for the meat. Back

11 Goetta It is primarily composed of ground meat and oats. Pronounced gétt-aa, ged-da or get-uh Americanized pronunciation, this dish originated with German settlers from the northwestern regions of Oldenburg, Hannover, and Westphalia who emigrated to the Cincinnati area in the 19th century. The word "Goetta" comes from the Low German word götte. Back

12 Cornbread Is a generic name for any number of quick breads (a bread leavened by an acid-base reaction, rather than by yeast) containing cornmeal. Back
