Student Learner’s Permit/Examination Permit Requirements and Restrictions Must be with a NJ driver 21 years or older and licensed at least 3 years in NJ You can only drive between the hours of 5:01am to 11:00PM

Other Restrictions No cell phones ( hand-held or hands- free), ipods or other wireless devices Must display red decal on front & rear license plate

Student Learner Permit / Examination Permit Requirements and Restrictions Must complete at least 6 months of supervised driving before you take your road test Only 1 additional passenger ( besides dependents) All vehicle occupants MUST wear seatbelts

If the Examination Permit or Provisional License holder is 21 years of age or older: hour and passenger restrictions DO NOT apply Permit holders 21 years of age or older must complete only 3 months of supervised practice driving before taking the road test If a student driver commits a traffic offense, both the student and the instructor/supervising driver will be held responsible

Failure to obey all GDL restrictions/requirements may result in: - $100 fine - possible suspension/postponement of your driving privilege After 1 year/12 months successful driving on PROBATIONARY license you MUST return to MVC to upgrade to a BASIC UNRESTRICTED license
