2. Fourth Grade Curriculum Based on Common Core Standards Common Core objectives are covered on the EOG tests at the end of the year. EOG data will be available in the fall of next year. 5. Grading Grades are based on unit and chapter tests, quizzes, class work assignments, and projects. Graph tests at home. All graded tests and quizzes will be sent home for review. Return work that is stamped.

9. Science/Social Studies Approximately four week units. Science: Magnetism/Electricity, Earth in the Universe, Rocks and Minerals, Ecosystems, Nutrition Social Studies: North Carolina State Symbols, Regions, Map Skills, Government, Economy, History

10. AR Reading Each child takes the STAR test to determine their ZPD, zone of proximal development. Goals are set based on their individual reading level. 11. Classroom Management Conduct is managed using a “clip” system. Students exhibiting inappropriate or irresponsible behavior will “clip down” and students exhibiting positive behavior will “clip up”. Be Safe, Be Responsible, and Be Respectful
