Ambulance History Fred Nelson purchased Arrow Ambulance from Elmer Harringar May 1978 Fred started Arrow Medical Services in 1980 which sold medical supplies Fred sold the ambulance service and medical supply division to Norco in December 1988 Norco sold the ambulance service to our current owner August 1993 Medic 5 program ran from 1981 through 1991 There has never been a gap in service.

Response Times 8 Minutes ? Full-arrests this year - 17
Average response time is less than 4:00 minutes 4 and 8 minute standards were derived from a 1979 report of Dr. Eisenberg from Seattle, which reported maximal survival (43%) in those patients with witnessed cardiac arrest due to primary heart disease who had CPR within 4 minutes of the time of collapse and “definitive care” ALS within 8 minutes.
