The Coins Penny A Penny is worth 1¢ also written as $0.01 It is a copper (gold) color 100 Pennies make $1.00 Former President Abraham Lincoln is on the front The Lincoln Memorial is on it’s back

The Coins Nickel A Nickel is worth 5¢ or $0.05 It is the same as 5 pennies You need 20 nickels to make $1.00 It is silver in color On it’s front is former President Thomas Jefferson Jefferson’s home, Monticello, is on the coin’s back

The Coins Dime A Dime is worth 10¢ or $0.10 It is the same as 10 pennies or 2 nickels You need 10 dimes to make $1.00 It is also silver in color On the dime’s front is former President Franklin D. Roosevelt The back of the coin contains a torch with an olive and oak branch

The Coins Quarter A Quarter is worth 25¢ or $0.25 It is worth 25 pennies and 5 nickels It takes 4 quarters to make up $1.00 It is silver in color as well. Our first President George Washington is on this coin’s front The Presidential Coat of Arms (outstretched eagle) is on it’s back Some have pictures for each state on the back
