3 The Coins Penny  A Penny is worth 1¢ also written as $0.01  It is a copper (gold) color  100 Pennies make $1.00  Former President Abraham Lincoln is on the front  The Lincoln Memorial is on it’s back

4 The Coins Nickel  A Nickel is worth 5¢ or $0.05  It is the same as 5 pennies  You need 20 nickels to make $1.00  It is silver in color  On it’s front is former President Thomas Jefferson  Jefferson’s home, Monticello, is on the coin’s back

5 The Coins Dime  A Dime is worth 10¢ or $0.10  It is the same as 10 pennies or 2 nickels  You need 10 dimes to make $1.00  It is also silver in color  On the dime’s front is former President Franklin D. Roosevelt  The back of the coin contains a torch with an olive and oak branch

6 The Coins Quarter  A Quarter is worth 25¢ or $0.25  It is worth 25 pennies and 5 nickels  It takes 4 quarters to make up $1.00  It is silver in color as well.  Our first President George Washington is on this coin’s front  The Presidential Coat of Arms (outstretched eagle) is on it’s back  Some have pictures for each state on the back
