Pizza. Task 1 take off sweat shirts tie hair back take off jewellery line up to wash your hands put on an apron Come and sit done when this is done. Head Chefs – please check all ingredients are out and ready to use and plastic bags are put away in the bottom drawer in your kitchen.

Pizza. Ingredients. Base 225 grams self raising flour 2 tablespoons oil 150 ml of water Toppings Chopped tomatoes, tomato puree, cheese, ham, chicken, onions, mushrooms, sweetcorn, peppers, pepperoni, pineapple, herbs, spices, olives, anchovies, courgettes – you choose!

Pizza. Head Chefs – please check your kitchen has this equipment out and ready to use. Come and sit down when you have done this. You may also need – scissors, tin opener, sieve, colander, baking tray, silicone sheet and oven gloves but you can get those as you need to use them. Equipment list sharp knife mixing bowl wooden spoon scales measuring jug chopping board – green for veg, red for meat

Pizza. Task 2 – the base measure 225 grams self raising flour, 2 tablespoons oil and 150 ml of water. using a wooden spoon, mix flour and oil and gradually add the water until you make a dough. knead for 10 mins until its soft, smooth and elastic. Collect a baking tray and silicone sheet and shape dough as required. Head Chefs – please check your kitchen has done this and all bowls, wooden spoons, jugs etc are washed in hot soapy water,dried and put away.

Task 3 – the toppings spread tomato puree, tomatoes or your sauce on top of the dough – be careful to keep it on the dough not the tray. chop or slice vegetables, open tins and drain if needed, chop meat- take care with the knife remember the bridge and claw method. add these to your pizza. finish with grated cheese. be careful to keep it on the dough not the tray. Pizza. Head Chefs – please check your kitchen is working calmly and safely.

Pizza. Task 4 – baking using oven gloves carefully put into the oven. it will take 25 mins – add your name and time to the board. make sure you are working as a team and helping each other to do this safely. wash everything up in hot, soapy water, dry equipment and put it back in the correct place. Head Chefs – please check your kitchen is working calmly, safely and as a team !

Pizza. Task 5 When your pizza is cooked I will take it out of the oven and put on a rack to cool. Please check the following………… Everything is in the correct place clean and dry. The baking trays are wiped clean. The silicone sheets are wiped clean. The worktops are washed and clean The cupboards are like the inside picture The drawers are tidy The floor is swept. Head Chefs – please check the above is done as a team.

Well done! A super good pizza making lesson. When you get home you can reheat your pizza in the microwave ( if you like it soft ) or Put into a hot oven for 8-10 minutes ( it will be crispy ) or Just eat it cold!!! Pizza.
