Tech Paths http://chamberlain.sd.techpaths.com/ http://chamberlain.sd.techpaths.com/ Curriculum mapping is a way to demonstrate what is being taught in the classroom, the standards that are covered, and the instructional strategies that are being used. Is a working diary of your curriculum in your classroom.
6
Why we map? Guaranteed Viable Curriculum All Schools must show what is being taught in all classrooms. Unlike other forms, maps are a living document in that they are flexible, collaborative, and allows teachers to reflect on what they are doing in the classroom. Resource – Excellent opportunity to share with instructors from other districts. Research proven – Marzano “What Works in Schools”
7
What Happens? Departments can investigate the map to identify gaps in the vertical and horizontal alignment. Creates a snapshot of the educational activities of every classroom within the district. Captures the content, skills, assessment, and standards taught by every teacher. Organizes the information into a visual that presents an overall timeline of instruction.

Infinite Campus https://sis2.ddncampus.net/campus/chamberlain.jsp https://sis2.ddncampus.net/campus/chamberlain.jsp Used for the following: Attendance Grade Book Student data and information Reports on Individual Students to entire classes. Planner

Achieve 3000 TeenBiz™ provides a Web-based, individualized reading and writing instruction program for grades 5-12 that reaches every student at his or her Lexile level. Powered by software that distributes assignments to the entire class, but tailors them according to each student's reading level, TeenBiz enables teachers to easily customize content and monitor student progress over time. Perhaps most important of all, TeenBiz is proven to accelerate reading comprehension, writing proficiency, vocabulary development and high- stakes test scores. Students in grades 7-12 are required to complete at least two TeenBiz reading assignments each week. Grades 5-6 also incorporate the reading program weekly into their lessons.Lexile level

Writing to Win Writing to Win journal writing expands the idea of journaling to students writing about what they are learning in every classroom. The journal includes numerous writing strategies requiring critical thinking of students. These strategies help students focus on fluency in higher-order thought. Fluency is the ultimate intent, purpose and outcome of the journal component.
