Department Hiring Policy for Benefitted Employees Position Management All chancellor approved budgets, each position has a Position Number which denotes budget authorization. If a Position Number does not exist, contact OFBP. Grant funded positions have a Position Number which denotes grant authorization. After ORSP and other offices have approved the position on the Position Recruitment and Search Form, Human Resources will assign a Position Number. Human Resources
