“Awareness among students about nutrition and good health” Continuous drive against junk food and sedentary life style through visuals, circulars, news items and counseling. More thrust on Yoga, Exercise, Balanced Diet & Systematic Life Style through practice and guidance. Timely Health Check-ups at HCW Health Centre & proper follow up.

“Safe environs in school” (Our Top Priority) Formation of School Safety Committee comprising of Students of Cl. IX & X. Their Orientation at HCW Safety Office by Safety Officials to guide and train them how to create Safety Awareness and ensure safe work atmosphere at school. Effective & revamped School Safety Committee to monitor & keep vigil on day today safety conditions. Regular visits of HCW Safety Officials with reports given to the Principal & Unit Head. “Safety First, Safety Always” – daily administration of the School Slogan in the Morning Assembly by KG Kids. New paintings on school walls to enhance Safety Awareness amongst students. Immediate reporting to the incident investigation officials HCW of any injury or accident during school hours. Remarkable decline in hurts, falls & injury cases in school.

“Judicious use of IT and Internet by students” Effective use of Audio Visual Devices and Digital Classes and its remarkable positive results. Frequent IT Teaching from Cl. I onwards. Regular time table from Cl. VI onwards in all subjects. Net surfing under vigilant supervision & guidance of teachers. New Computer Club “ZIGMA” founded with regular activities & projects. More stress on class wise presentations as well as students’ presentations on different occasions.

“Special children and their learning needs” Successful completion of the first session of RTE implementation. Extremely weak and under privileged students brought to the main stream & they showed remarkable growth and development at session end. Sensitive and sensible handling of students suffering from chronic diseases. Specific methodology adopted by teachers to fulfill needs of special / different students. Extra time devoted to them. Regular interaction and counseling for parents on specific problems.

First Time General Knowledge Genius Award given in Annual Award Ceremony to class with the highest score in bi-annual GK contest. External exposure to students in Quiz Competitions. Class & House Quizzes. Morning Assembly Quiz on alternate days. “Quality Teaching” A continuous mission with 75% success & 25% failure due to non availability of real good teachers fit for a good public school. Regular training, exposure, counseling & warnings for betterment. “Language improvement” (War against slang and deteriorating Language standard) Ironically Science & Humanities departments doing a lot in this field. Language teachers still not delivering the goods. “General Knowledge & General Awareness”

“SPECIAL MENTION” 2012 – 13 The School got ISO 9001 – 2008 Certification within a time period of 7 ½ months’ (Aug’12 to 15 th Mar’13) rigorous preparation, training & auditing. Infrastructural Addition : Library, Digi Classes & Staff room all fully air-conditioned. 100% Participation by RTE Students in the school’s annual day celebration.
