Purpose We can design and construct our own lab setup and carry out the project in an accurate way.

Question Can people determine which ice cream is the great value brand, in an un-bias environment?

The participants will be able to signify which brand is which.

Materials Side cups and lids Spoons Cooler Poster board (Advertisement) ½ gal. Great Value Ice-cream (Vanilla) ½ gal. Blue Bunny Ice-cream (Vanilla) Pretzels Ice-cream scooper Plastic Bowls Blind fold

Safety Precautions -Ask each participant(s) if they have any food allergies. -Clean area for work space. -Follow all lab rules and procedures.

Procedures 1. Ask participant(s) if they have any food allergies. 2. Have ice-cream samples already scooped into separate groups. 3. Have everyone eat one pretzel. 4. Have each participant eat one sample of one brand. 5. Have each participant eat one pretzel to cleanse pallet. 6. Have each participant eat the opposite sample. 7. Have each participant record which ice-cream they believe is the name brand. 8. Separate male and female results by grade.

Conclusion Freshman did NOT support hypothesis Sophomores DID support hypothesis Juniors did NOT support hypothesis Seniors DID support hypothesis All Males DID support hypothesis All Females DID support hypothesis There needs to be further testing conducted because the results were not huge difference.

Error Analysis Results placed in wrong container. Great value ice cream melted. Didn’t have enough time to blind fold. People could’ve shared answers.
