3 Industry Leading Hosting Services
Oracle Hosting AFCOM and Network World - Data Center of the Year 2005 Operations based on industry-standard frameworks and certified by SAS70 Over 500 Enterprise customers with most rigorous requirements Benefits Single vendor commitment Operational excellence Responsiveness Investment in future services Oracle is the only on demand CRM provider who offers a single vendor solution for hosting services. This means that your CRM On Demand application is hosted at Oracle’s Data Center in Austin, Texas and leverages Oracle database and middleware technology. What’s the benefit of this? As part of a single organization, we provide continuous feedback loops to ensure predictable, sustainable and consistent levels of high performance, scalability and reliability. Oracle’s hosting and management services are award-winning and battle tested. We have more than 500 customers and 350,000 users of Oracle On Demand, who depend on the service to host and manage their critical Oracle “run your business applications” such as Oracle E-Business Suite, PeopleSoft, JD Edwards and Siebel. [NOTE: Operations based on industry-standard frameworks refers to the ISO/IEC standard, which defines a framework for secure operations] Oracle Confidential

5 Next Generation Modular On Demand Platform
Instance 1 End User Internet HTTPS Instance 2 Intelligent Routing Improved service levels Customer independence Flexibility in maintenance and upgrades Eases and accelerates evolution of capabilities For CRM On Demand, Oracle’s hosting platform is the first in the industry to move beyond the current generation of monolithic infrastructures to a new modular infrastructure based on Oracle Grid Computing. Instead of putting all instances of CRM On Demand on large servers, we distribute production instances among multiple servers. Although outages are unlikely, if one does occur, this distributed framework helps ensure that all CRM On Demand users will not be impacted – a scenario seen as a limitation of current monolithic On Demand infrastructures. Furthermore, this modular infrastructure promises to increase flexibility, adding options as to when a customer can request an upgrade to a new version of CRM On Demand, and when extraction/transformation/loading for Analytics occurs. Oracle has made significant investments in its Modular On Demand infrastructure, and will continue to do so to ensure industry-leading performance, scalability and reliability – as well as being able to offer ever higher levels of flexible offerings and services for customers. Oracle Application Server + J2EE UI (replaces Siebel Web Engine – SWE) Oracle BI = Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (formerly Siebel Analytics) Additional services added to Siebel CRM Business Server (a.k.a. Object Manager, or OM) to ensure data integrity i.e. restricts visibility to only that data which is owned by the requesting user’s company The underlying database schema actually contains all the objects from the Siebel CRM On-Premise product, representing over 11 years of industry knowledge. This allows Siebel to add new features to Siebel CRM OnDemand at a very rapid rate. It is a matter of exposing existing functionality through creation of a new user interface (which resides in the light blue rectangle). Siebel Schema on Oracle Database Data Tier Oracle Confidential
