Web Project Methodology Move It Up Marketing Web Project Methodology in six steps to ensure quality and efficient projects.

What we do: Web Project Methodology Web Project Methodology Our Web Project Methodology includes six steps (not including 2 steps in a planning stage), allowing our clients to have a clear set of expectations and the ability to track their project’s status. This Project Methodology ensures that your goals are met in term of deadlines, costs, and high quality. Depending on the project, the following steps may occur sequentially or they may overlap. (Note that our Project Methodology is also used for coding, social media, interactive, and mobile projects) The six phases of a web project are:

Planning Stage: Current Website Evaluation Move It Up Marketing must first examine your current website to give you the best tools to attract and hold customers. We will look at the following criteria: 1. Marketing Message - Is what you do/sell clear and understandable? 2. Branding - Look and Feel. Is your website readable? Is it nice to look at? 3. Simplicity - Websites need to be user friendly and easy to use. - Who? What? Why? These are all important questions in evaluating your website - Who are you? - What are you selling? - Why should the customer work with/buy from you? Responsible Party: Salesperson / Director of Web Development

Step 1 Discovery During the Discovery step, we will meet with you to create the blueprint for your project if needed, otherwise known as the Functional Specifications A good blueprint is essential to the success of any project. You and your contractor wouldn’t build a home without a plan, would you? Of course not! So why would you build a website without a blueprint? This step can be reflected by a site map, wireframes, and functional requirements. If required, we will also create a document with all the content you will use for your Web Project Once you have approved the Functional Specifications, the Discovery step is closed. Responsible Party: Copywriter / Project Manager / Director of Web Development

Step 2 Design – Visual Mockup Design = Visual + Concept Based on the documents created during the Discovery Step, we will design a custom graphical mockup and/or visuals for your homepage. Depending on the project, we may create several homepage designs for you to choose from. With your feedback, any necessary revisions will be made. We include two revisions in your initial payment. Sub-pages will be built once the homepage design has been approved. Responsible Party: Web Graphic Designer / Director of Web Development

Step 3 Debrief The Move It Up Marketing Team will debrief with you to review the original scope as defined in the proposal with functional features defined in step 1 and the design defined in step 2. The mockup, visuals and functional specifications will require your approval to move forward. If the actual user requirements exceed the original scope, the project budget will have to be redefined within a new proposal. Don’t forget, after this step you won’t have the possibility to make modifications on any previous steps without adding to the cost of the site. Responsible Party: Web Graphic Designer / Web Content Coordinator / Director of Web Development

Step 4 Data If you currently have a website and/or database of content, Move It Up Marketing may be able to automatically convert portions of information from your old site to your new site. Site access information will need to be provided to Move It Up Marketing for this to occur. We also have copywriters on staff, who can either write original content for you or edit what you have, depending on what is specified in your contract. During this step, Move It Up Marketing may create a Content Plan to document all your web project content. Responsible Party: Copywriter / Project Manager / Director of Web Development

Step 5 Development Our developers will design the database and code your Web Project The development of your web project is created on our private Move It Up Marketing Server. If we are working on portions of your current website, your website will never be “off” during this step and your website will still be under your control and management. The content and database (if created) will also be populated with content that must be supplied and/or uploaded by you via the Move It Up Marketing Server. Unit Testing by Move It Up Marketing is also included in this step. Responsible Party: Developer / Director of Web Development

Step 6 Deploy Move It Up Marketing will deploy your Web Project to its final environment where we will then perform a systems test to confirm that it has met or exceeded your requirements. When the site is launched, the project is considered complete, and your new web project is LIVE! Responsible Party: Developer / Director of Web Development
