To learn new ideas, songs, and games from you

3. Why songs & games?
Using songs and games in class can offer a creative and beneficial break from the normal classroom routine and can assists our students in developing their language skills. i.e. practice their pronunciation, improve their listening and speaking.
Kids love songs and games as they are interesting, attractive and funny sometimes.

6. Alphabet Songs ABC fruity band
(apple, banana, cherry are in the band. There is an activity too – listen to the song and complete the alphabet.)
ABC Monkeys and snake
(there is an alphabet countdown game after it.)

7. Alphabet Games
The game has three levels: easy, medium, and hard. You can play the game with Small Stars Blue, Green, and Orange. Help kids to learn letter names and letter sounds.
(Help the monkey to escape the snake. Click on the right coconut each time the monkey says the letter to help the monkey climb the tree. Your computer speakers must be on for this game.)
It’s a hard one, can be used in SSR class. It sounds easy, but you’ve got 30seconds only.

8. Classroom objects
Songs: what songs do you normally play in your class?
Games:
Paint it! Classroom: Listen and read, then color the classroom pictures.
School Supplies Vocabulary Crocodile Board Game
Click on the dice to roll. A random number will show up and you will advance. There are traps on the way. Do not land on a flamingo. Flamingos eat frogs.  A question will pop up and the player must choose the correct answer or risk going back. Meeting a crocodile is ugly – you get eaten  and you go back to start. The bug is your best friend – frogs eat bugs to get strength.

Games:
How many chickens? click at the animals and count the numbers, good for SS B, G, O. learning numbers and animals.
Move the boxcar to make a train. It’s good for SSB, SSG. (But it might be boring for some kids)

10. Colors games: Song: learn colors, and practice I like…
(There are more songs on youku.)
games:
Review colors like: Red, Green, Purple, White, Black, Pink, Brown etc. using this Catapult Game. (+Timer)
It’s a great website with so many games, different topics and levels.
Paint the ocean. What color is the ocean? What color is the sky? What animals live in the ocean? (it’s good for teaching colors and animals)

11. Animals Songs: Old McDonald had a farm Animal house
What animals has Old MacDonald got on his farm? What noise do they make? Listen to the song and find out.
There are great activities for this song.

It’s not really a great song, but there are good activities for the song.
It can also be used as an opening song of this topic – Tell us about your pets. (for SSO/SSR)
What animals live in your house?
What are their names?
Where do the animals sleep in your house?
What pet do you like most?

12. Animals
Games:
Color Animals. Listen to the instructions, read the words and then paint the zoo animals. It’s a good game for teaching or reviewing colors and animals.
There are many games in this website including animals, clothes, colors, body parts, it works for SS and above.  However, it is a bit slow to load.

Games about animals. There are two main parts we can visit and use: Kids Corner and Preschool Animals. Preschool Animals games are very good for kids to practice their listening and speaking. It’s a good web for kids to learn and practice alphabet, colors, animals, etc.

13. Body parts
Song:
Head, shoulders, knees, and toes. Teach parts of the body, and make the kids moving.

Crocodile board game again: help kids to learn and review parts of the body.

14. Fruit & food Song: Chocolate Cake: Yummy! Fruit Games:
Do you like chicken, rice and peas? Do you like chocolate cake? Do you like blackcurrant juice? We do! Sing along to this song all about yummy food.
Fruit Games:
A funny game. Good for kids to practice listening and review fruit vocabulary.
There are eight fruits in this game. Can you match the pictures and the words? (It takes time, but good for kids to learn words. Some kids may have difficulties to read or recognize some of the words, so they may need help from teacher or classmates)
Crocodile board game again: (a bit hard for SSs, but it’s a good game)

15. Family Song: Finger Family: Rain, rain go away!

Play a game about different people in the family. Put the words into the correct groups. (SSO/SSR)
