As you can see I have chosen Cpanel for my server management tool. cPanel is a Linux based web hosting control panel that provides a graphical interface and automation tools designed to simplify the process of hosting a web site. cPanel is designed to function either as a dedicated server or virtual private server.
3
Secure cPanel includes the latest technologies to help keep servers secure. The software offers virus protection, rootkit detection, and a host of other tools to allow you to lock down your server. It even helps protect against current threats such as XSRF ("sea surfing") and XSS attacks. The Security Center allows you to easily configure different security settings.
4
Cutting-edge cPanel software can automatically update itself and your server's software. This allows you to stay on top of the latest technology and security fixes. The interface provides you fine-grained control over these automatic updates, allowing you to disable them if you wish. The EasyApache interface allows you to add support for new web technologies in a few mouse clicks. If you wish to disable a specific feature, you can simply uncheck it.
5
Extensible We offer a variety of APIs for extending the functionality of our software. With our APIs, you can automate many common functions of cPanel, such as creating and modifying accounts. Cpanel also offers a variety of hooks, so you can insert your own maintenance scripts when cPanel performs specific tasks like changing a user's password or updating MySQL.
6
You're in Control With cPanel, you're in control of your server. You choose which versions of Apache and PHP to run, which applications handle services such as DNS, and a wide variety of other functionality. You can also disable any feature of cPanel for specific users. Website owners can password-protect portions of their sites and have the accounts of visitors who share their passwords automatically deactivated. The software also offers hotlink protection and the ability to deny problem IP addresses
7
Web Developer-Friendly While cPanel is user-friendly, it also offers powerful features to web developers, while isolating them from performing any task that affects other users on the server. Web developers can install their own PHP PEAR packages, Perl modules and RoR applications via cPanel. They can also select which version of PHP to use (PHP 4 or PHP 5). A code editor is built into cPanel's File Manager for the developer on the go.
8
Mobile Accessibility System administrators on the go can manage cPanel via smartphone. The software will automatically display a mobile-friendly interface when you access it from a mobile device. You can even receive emails instantly on your BlackBerry, thanks to our Blackberry FastMail support.

I will now show you some slides which will help explain some features of Cpanel.

Fantastico is a Web application installer for cPanel servers. It provides end users the ability to quickly install dozens of Web applications into their web space, such as content management systems, blogs, image galleries, shopping carts/storefronts, etc
15
This option will allow you to require a username and password to access a folder or folders from the web. This can be very useful when you need to limit access to a certain part of your site.
