Goal 1 Mashpee Staff will implement effective STEM instruction Resources surrounding high quality STEM instruction (hands- on, investigative learning) will be made available through PD and STEM team presentations. (i.e. importance/value, problem based learning, etc.) Makerspace @ MS/HS level as model Working with principals @ 2 other schools

Goal 1 Mashpee Staff will implement effective STEM instruction The STEM team will include a minimum representation of one member from each school building. The team will effectively communicate through quarterly meetings and e-mail as needed. Added rep from KCC (pK-2) Meetings to begin in December

Goal 2 Mashpee students will be college and career ready and contributing members of their global society. Pre K– 6 will engage in a minimum of 2 problem based STEM units within their homeroom setting. STEAM Learning Lab “SheGives” grant Mapping and designing our “STE” curriculum Grades 3-6 will participate in a “STEM special” EiE units (grant funded) 3D printer & robotics in budget Independent STEM-based projects Winter enrichment “Design Squad”

Goal 2 Mashpee students will be college and career ready and contributing members of their global society. Grade 7 will experience a full year of foundations in the use of technology. Digital Literacy (1/2 year) Essential Technology (1/2 year) Grade 8 will experience a full year in Engineering the Future. Grades 9-12 will have opportunities to enroll in various career and technical pathways in the STEM fields. (see Goal 3)

Goal 3 Mashpee Schools will develop STEM partnerships with families, businesses and colleges/universities After school enrichment offerings focused on engaging elementary students in STEM related activities. Recycled Racers for Grades 3&4 STEM projects for Grades 5&6 Grants currently received Provide dual enrollment opportunities for MHS students “Solid Works” Spring 2015 college course based @ MHS

Goal 3 Mashpee Schools will develop STEM partnerships with families, businesses and colleges/universities Establish articulation agreements with colleges/ universities. Drafting 1 course articulated with CCCC Meetings scheduled this week w/BSU Cape campus director
