3. 3 1. Ongoing FGDC Initiatives Important FGDC focus areas where the NGAC has already provided extensive input. FGDC will seek continuing feedback as needed as these initiatives are implemented: NSDI Strategic Plan Federal Leads: Dan Cotter (DHS), Ivan DeLoatch (FGDC) National Geospatial Data Asset Management Plan (A-16 Plan) Federal Leads: Adrian Gardner (FEMA), Ivan DeLoatch (FGDC) Geospatial Platform Federal Lead: Jerry Johnston (DOI)

4. 4 2. NGAC Subcommittee Activities These topics will likely be the major focus of the NGAC’s activities this year. NGAC has already done preliminary work on most of these topics, and FGDC has identified a research questions for NGAC consideration: Landsat Advisory Group Federal Leads: Tim Newman (USGS) Geolocation Privacy Federal Leads: FGDC ExCom Geospatial Education and Workforce Development Federal Leads: FGDC ExCom National Address Database Federal Leads: Tim Trainor (Census)

Emerging Topics In consulting with NGAC and FGDC members, FGDC has identified a set of additional topics for possible consideration by the NGAC: NSDI Sustainability and Continuity Identify potential strategies and approaches to enhance the sustainability and continuity of NSDI governance, operations, and partnerships. Tribal Geospatial Issues Potential study issues include strategies for enhanced geospatial partnerships with Tribes. Administration/Departmental Priorities Provide recommendations and perspectives of the geospatial community toward Administration/Departmental priorities, as needed.

6. 6 Implementation Approach 1. Ongoing Initiatives Designate of NGAC liaison(s) to serve as primary NGAC points of contact and coordinate NGAC feedback as needed 2. NGAC Subcommittees Designate subcommittee chairs, co-chairs, and teams to review and address guidance questions; develop draft responses for consideration by NGAC as a whole 3. Emerging Issues Designate Liaisons/discussion leaders to begin to frame possible approaches Action Teams Establish action teams as needed to address time-sensitive issues. For example, to provide NGAC feedback on draft reports or products (e.g., 3D Elevation Plan in 2013)
